Description
Ebonizing creates the effect of darkening or blackening a naturally lighter coloured wood to appear more like black ebony wood. Short of Tannins – No worries! For timbers without or with little tannin, like Ash, Maple, Pine and other conferious species use the pre-treatmentl treatment before ProNature Ebonizer is applied.
Coverage & Application
PRE-TREATMENT:
Coverage:
Approximately 15-20 m² per litre, depending on the type of wood.
Application:
Product is ready to use but may be diluted to achieve different effects..
Surface must be dry, clean and dust-free. Sand wood to a fine, smooth finish using min grit 100.
Apply a liberal layer evenly using a sponge, brush or short bristle paint roller (Use metal-free tools).
Leave to dry thoroughly before continuing with ProNature Ebonizer.
Caution:
Product is slightly corrosive and adequate protection i.e. goggles and gloves should be worn when handling the material! Metal-free tools should be used. Protect surfaces not meant to be treated
EBONIZER:

Application:
- Product is ready to use but may be diluted to achieve different effects.
- Surface must be dry, clean and dust-free. Sand wood to a fine, smooth finish using min grit 100.
- Evenly apply a liberal layer using sponge, brush or short bristle paint roller (Use metal-free tools).
- Depending on the timber used a reaction to the ProNature Ebonizer may only be seen after a short period.
- Leave to dry thoroughly and if necessary, lightly sand the surface before further treat the timber surface.
- A second application with ProNature Ebonizer maybe required if a stronger ebonising effect is desired.
