This is Bernhard Lembeck
Bernhard is the creator of ProNature. He holds more than 40 years of paint chemistry experience. Born and raised in Wuppertal (Germany), his first professional positions were in the chemical paint industry. Once venturing to South Africa his dream was to introduce natural paints to the far South. His entrepreneurial spirit and desire to create sustainable healthy products led to the opening of ProNature in 1998.
ProNature, founded by Bernhard Lembeck, was registered in 1997 and commenced production of the first wood maintaining products in 1998. In 2003 sales took a big jump that year when products were optimized for the SA market and sale efforts over the previous year paid off. In 2004 a contract with a Design Company meant the breakthrough as ProNature became the specified product for timber-related shop fittings for all Woolworth Outlets, which then was followed by SPAR, Checkers, Foschini Group (Fabiani, Markham, TotalSports, House of Paints, Paints Emporium & Hardware, DueSouth, Exact, Markham, Foschini etc.) Soon thereafter ProNature products were found on the shelves of Hardware Stores (Chain & individual) like Delarey, Timbercity, Massmart (Builders Warehouse), Mica, House of Paints, Paints Emporium & Hardware, just to name a few.
