ProNature Outdoor Wood Sealer
Coverage:
- ProNature Outdoor gives a coverage of 20-25 sqm / litre (compared to a varnish – about 10 sqm/l)
- Only on the first application 2-3 coats are required, the second coat will give 30-40 sqm/l, third coat 50+ sqm/l
Cost advantage: Less material needed
Simple Application:
- Removing / Sanding off the old coating is only required once – on the first / initial application, when switching to ProNature Outdoor or on new installations / extensions
- No sanding between 1st and 2nd, 2nd and 3rd coat
Cost advantage: Less labour intense, no sandpaper material, relatively unskilled labour can do the application (clean and dry the surface, stir the product thoroughly, apply with brush or even just a cloth, rub off the excess oil after 5 minutes with a dry cloth, discard used cloth in a bucket of water).
Longevity / Maintenance frequency:
- The currently used varnishes last about 3 months
- ProNature Outdoor (Sample colour applied “Brown Hyena”) will last a minimum of 1 year
Cost advantage: saving on labour costs, material costs & business interruption
Maintenance procedure:
- There is no sanding required prior to applying the maintenance coat, surface only needs to be washed with the ProNature Wood Cleaner and left to dry
- ProNature Outdoor does not have a shelf life, which means, opened containers to be closed tightly and then stored and used for the following years’ maintenance.
Cost advantage: saving on labour costs, sand paper, no product waste
Running of establishment advantage: no sanding machines, no dust, no noise.
Very little impact on the daily running of the Hotel/Lodge
Upkeep of wooden structures:
- May it be historic or recently installed timber – with every time of sanding, some wood gets removed. A very good example is the handrail, where we applied the product on: There is already a curve formed due to the frequent sanding.
Cost advantage: saving on possible replacement of timber in the future.
